We need your help! The City of Coquitlam is looking for help to plant 1,500 trees and shrubs over 2 days to restore native habitat to a landscape that has previously been overwhelmed by invasive plants! So bring your family and friends and help contribute to a healthy community.
Location: Scott Creek at 2950 Dewdney Trunk Rd (meet in the church parking lot)
Date: October 28 – 29
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
This project will also improve the habitat in the park for salmon and wildlife by adding to the vegetated area along the creek. Tree planting has a positive impact on climate change as trees remove carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases from the air.
